Calm Oceans has designed and developed a range of Self-Installing Platforms which is suitable for all shallow waters. They can be outfitted with different modular facilities such as Production Module, Accommodation Module as well as Drilling Modules, subject to Client’s requirement.

The ability to self-install and self-removal (using just tugs) with integrated modular topsides, removes the need of expensive and extensive offshore construction fleet, thereby reducing the development CAPEX. Unlike typical independent-leg type Jack-Up, our Self-Installing Platforms are mat-supported and do not require any pre-loading during installation, thus reducing any risk of punch through or excessive penetration in soft soil seabed.

Once the reserves from the first field has been depleted, the same MCP can be seamlessly redeployed to another similar accumulation to continue production after drilling new wells. There is no decommissioning works requiring a heavy lift vessel, thus saving significant expense. Through the redeployment of the MCP to other field, there is no requirement to fabricate new facilities, thus saving cost and lead time in construction.
